Our almost 6 month old daughter is the love of our lives. With lots of encouragement from my partner, I decided to write a blog about new motherhood in hopes of instilling inspiration to all who stumble upon this blog. I hope that my posts will provide mothers, fathers and families with information, support, and strength to continue on, and be the best that they can be for their children.
Our Story…
On May 6th, 2018 at exactly 9:30 am, my partner and I discovered that we were more than 3 months pregnant with our little one. Filled with joy and a touch of uncertainty, we name our little developing fetus “Pinto Bean!” Today, this little Pinto Bean is now 10 months old, born on January 9th, 2019 at 7:03 in the morning, and weighing in at 8 lbs.
Her name is Ayanna Rose.
There are different meanings for the name Ayanna. According to babynamewizard, Ayanna is an african name meaning “beautiful flower“. There are other meanings of the name listed below.

Funny story…
My partner Robin came up with our daughter’s name “Ayanna” during the early stages of our relationship. The name wasn’t my first choice but then I realized that my father’s name, “YAN” was right in the middle of it (aYANna). I knew that it was meant to be.
Looking back, we still laugh at how crazy in love we were. We had just met and we were already brainstorming baby names…
